Terrill Mitchell is originally from Morgantown, WV and is an alumnus of Point Park University with a B.A. in Dance. He has worked with companies such as Attack Theatre, Pittsburgh Opera, West Virginia Public Theatre as well as the Playhouse Dance Company. He is currently a senior member with the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company (MET Dance). Terrill has performed works from choreographers such as: Caleb Mitchell, Jason Parsons, Spencer Gavin Hering, Erin Reck, Joe Celej, jhon r stronks, Kiesha Lalama, Peter Chu, Salim Gauwloos, Jason McDole, Kiki Lucas, Kate Skarpetowska and Larry Keigwin. He has performed at venues such as The Dance Gallery Festival, Bayou City Arts Festival, Artopia, Texas Contemporary Dance Festival, APAP Conference in NYC, Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, Bearfoot Bridgade, Jacob’s Pillow Inside/Out Dance series in Massachusetts and Dance St. Louis Dance Festival. Additionally, he is the Company Director for Elite Dance Academy as well as teaches and choreographs for various dance studios, dance teams, and youth companies around the US. Terrill was recently named by the Houston Press one of the Top 100 Creatives for the City of Houston!
