Patrick Burns was born in Phoenix, AZ and has been dancing and choreographing from a young age. He began attending his local Dupree Dance Convention at age five and has been a member of the Dupree family since 2002. Patrick teaches hip-hop and tap at Marilyn’s Academy of Dance in Peoria, AZ, and choreographs for dance groups and cheer squads around the country. He was a scholarship winner for Rhee Gold’s Dance Life conference this past summer. Patrick is a graduate of Arizona State University where he was a member of the Hip-Hop Coalition, and was also on the WNBA Phoenix Mercury Hip-Hop Squad. He also choreographs for the Phoenix Suns Entertainment, and was a choreographer the 2009 NBA All-Star Game. Patrick has been a featured dancer on MTV and has appeared in commercials nationwide. Patrick and his wife, Jenna, also a dance educator, can’t wait for their one-year-old daughter Ayva to start dancing in a few years.
